Dear Patient, Family and Friends:

Super smiles start young! That's right, orthodontic guidance can begin as young as seven years of age. So, if the child you have in orthodontic treatment now has younger brothers and sisters, or if you have a child between the ages of seven and nine, we have some great news for you!

As a preventative orthodontic office, we like to examine the children in our patient's family by age seven. Children grow at a rapid rate, and often can benefit enormously from an early phase of orthodontic treatment utilizing appliances that direct the growth relationship of the upper and lower jaws. Thus, a good foundation can be established, providing adequate room for eruption of all permanent teeth. This early correction may prevent later removal of permanent teeth to correct overcrowding and/or surgical procedures to align the upper and lower jaws. Leaving such a condition untreated until all permanent teeth erupt could result in a jaw discrepancy too severe to achieve an ideal result with braces

With these facts in mind, we hope you will have all your children examined by age seven so that we can give your family the maximum orthodontic care they deserve. In the interest of prevention, we are happy to offer all initial examinations and follow-up recall visits at no charge.
